Gökhan Özoğuz, Madımak Katliamı’na ilişkin sosyal medya hesabından, İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Ekrem İmamoğlu’nun paylaşımını retweetleyerek, “O güzel canları yakan, şu an bile etrafta elini kolunu sallaya sallaya gezen, Müslüman kıyafetine bürünmüş cahil zihniyeti lanetliyorum. Ülkemize, vatanımıza , milletimize, kültürümüze ve dinimize en büyük kötülüğü yapan bu zihniyet sonsuza dek yok olsun” ifadelerini kullandı.
